About Us

Region Sörmland's eye clinic is a regional clinic with outpatient services at Sörmland hospitals; Kullbergska Hospital in Katrineholm, Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, and Nyköping Hospital in Nyköping. We have approximately 60,000 patient visits per year. We perform cataract surgeries, outpatient surgeries, and treat strabismus. We have a clinic for the treatment of macular diseases as well as various outpatient services for other diagnoses.

We are expanding and are now looking for an Eye Nurse/Nurse for the eye clinic located at Kullbergska Hospital. Here you will work in newly renovated facilities, with new modern equipment, alongside various professionals in a small yet large clinic. We have our own operating room and injection room where we perform cataract surgeries, outpatient surgeries, and injections. In our clinic, injections are administered by nurses.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse at our eye clinic, you will have a fun and varied job.

In our operating room, you will assist the doctor during various surgeries, including cataract surgeries, and be responsible for handling instruments, equipment, and sterility. Your tasks in the clinic include preparing patients for doctor visits with various examinations. You will have your own independent consultations, such as photographing the fundus and performing visual field tests. A large patient group for us consists of those with macular problems. These conditions are treated with intravitreal injections, which our nurses will perform after training.

We are a smaller team, which means you will work at the height of your competence and teamwork is truly active, so flexibility and a good ability to consult are qualities we are looking for in you.

Your Qualifications

In your formal qualifications, you are a licensed nurse in healthcare, an eye nurse, or an operating room nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. You are attentive, responsible, have a good ability to collaborate within and between professions, and have a positive attitude towards your work.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.
